College mama asked:
I have my BS in Public Health Ed, but PT ed schedule does not fit my family schedule. I love art and anything medical (physiology, terminology). Always reading the med. dictionary and Gray’s Anatomy to look stuff up. It would be great to work with patients using clay and paints to regain their mobility and range of movement.

I don’t know what kind of educational background or experience is needed but that sounds like (I think its called) recreational therapy or working as an activities director at a nursing home. Occupational therapy may be interesting to you and it would require more schooling but not as much as PT.
Yes, in addition to Recreational Therapist, there is a Play Therapist in a Childrens Hospital and all sorts of opportunities in a Board & Care, Assisted Living Facility. ANd Occupational Therapy, which teaches more about how to cope with the ADL–activities of daily living might be a crareer for you as well. There are also special needs camps for youngsters with leukemia, autism, downs etc and could use your skills as well.
