What I am looking for are the crafts, which are getting lost in this mechanical world, more from the country side. Like the lac work from hyderabad, the things made from jute and those wooden dolls, the glass work … et al. And if any1 could suggest me the websites which would help me to know more about these crafts. ( I am not looking for any shopping sites).

There are lots of Indian artists who do contempory work based on old tradition like pottery, sterling silver and other jewelry, baskets and woven items such as blankets and clothing. There are also things like ******** and dolls. I cannot give you specific sites but I recommend that you might want to investigate by tribe. There are many - Hopi, Navajo, etc. I really like the Hopi works myself.
