Draw a picture on it using a black permanent marker. Invert and peel the backing off. Take coloured pieces of paper and cut/tear them into the shapes you need to fill on your picture. The trick is to do it by eyesight - it's supposed to result in pieces that are the wrong size/shape. Place the pieces onto the contact. Use a large sheet of paper or card as a backing.
