I know their insurance pays for therapy dogs/cats to come in and visit. And I have a service to provide. Do I need an independant contractors license?

Interesting question. I’m not sure about the CL -but you could go to nursing homes, senior centers, VFW and retirement centers. Sounds like a very cool thing.
It isn’t likely to be therapy so just offer classes in senior centers and community college. What will be special to make seniors more interested than in the normal classes?
I believe that would depend on your state laws. But you could try contacting nursing facilities or group homes to find out what the requirments are. Maybe one of the facilities would hire you as an independent. Just make sure you have your plan together when approaching these types of people. Make sure you have a contract in the event this works out. Good luck keep me posted on how it turns out.
